The students applying must be 13 years or older and a U.S. citizen. The student must also be enrolled no later that the fall of 2023,in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. The winner will be notified by email or phone on or around April 30, 2017.

The scholarship is arranged to cover the student's cost of tuition. It is renewable up to three years, as long as the student keeps a 3.0 GPA or higher and a full-time course load. The student must also plan on enrolling on a full-time basis. There are one or more awards offered annually, the students applying must be a graduating high school senior.
The deadline for the scholarship is Monday, February 20, 2017. All students are eligible regardless of the sport, the number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, only one award was offered. The dead line is June 17.
There is no application for this scholarship, students must simply send in a short essay to the email address,[email protected], answering the following questions; "How did your participation in sports during your high school years influence you?" "Has your participation influenced your career goals?" "Has your participation influenced how you relate to your family?" The winner will be notified within two weeks. -Abbie Sumrall Dream Horse Press is holding a special opportunity for seniors interested in poetry. The winner will receive $1000, publication, and 20 copies of the work submitted. Those entering must pay a fee of $27 when submitting their manuscript by mail.There is also an option to submit it through email that includes a reduced entry fee. Participants must also be legal U.S. citizens or at least be permanent residents.
The work being entered must be 48-80 pages long, marginalized. Along with that, the manuscript must include a bio of the author, their acknowledgements, table of contents, and an email address for contact purposes. The amount is $1500 annually and is nonrenewable. The dead line is Dec 31. Anyone that is 13 years or older that lives in the United States or the District of Columbia can enter. To enter you have to write a clear, well written and creative paper. The rubric is criteria of writing (25%) , creativity (25%) , originality (25%) and over all excellence (25%) . The essay must be turned in before or on the dead line date to enter. -Carly Ranka The US Air Force ROTC program is Offering a Scholarship for High School students in the 2017 graduation year. There are three types to this scholarship. Type one pays full tuition, most fees and book allowance. Type two pays college tuition and fees up to $18,000 plus book allowance.Type seven pays tuition equivalent ti the in-state public school rate plus book allowance. If you get accepted for this scholarship, you are obligated to do a few things. First you must enroll in the major the scholarship was offered for, enroll in AFROTC in the Fall semester, complete a 24-day training course at Maxwell AFB and accept a commission as an Air Force officer and serve active for four years. Application submission is Dec. 1, so get cracking! -Kohen Hernandez Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophies Awareness Scholarship was brought up to reward students who teach about LGMD. The scholarship is divided into two categories; merit based and social media based. Both categories are $3000 each, however,only four contestants can win; that's two for each category. The money can be used for tuition, books and equipment for education.
The Merit based scholarship is ranked on the students academic achievements, extracurricular activities, leadership experience and the ability to teach others about LGMD. Then, the Social Media scholarship is where students will past a message and an optional picture. This will be posted on the Jain Foundation Scholarship Facebook page to spread the awareness towards LGMD. The deadline for both scholarships is May 25. Students may submit each week to improve their scores. Each week the two highest scores will be posted on the Facebook page so students can be aware. -Abbie Sumrall The Nordstorm scholarship recognizes students across the county for their scholastic achievement and community involvement. The students must be able to attend a four-year college of university. Financial assistance is also required to apply. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, awards/honors, leadership, school activities, community/volunteer activities, financial need, and employment history. Winners will be notified by Oct. 31.
The deadline is May 1 by 5 p.m. or sooner. This is a 10,000 dollar scholarship paid over 4 years in equal installments of 2,500 dollars. There are 80 awards offered annually. Discover Card is a nationwide credit card company. The card is primarily issued in the United States and it was founded in 1985. Discover Card is holding a lottery for high school students. Burger King started the Burger King Scholars program, AKA the McLamore Foundation in 2005. The Burger King Scholars program was named after one of the now dead co-founders to the honor him. James McLamore believed the importance of supporting the advancement of education.
The Burger King Scholars Program assists employees, spouses of employees, domestic partners, employees' children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. The program had awarded more than $25.3 million in scholarships and the program continues to grow. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin. The age to receive a scholarship ranges from high school seniors to college students age 24 or younger. Target offers four $10,000 national scholarships and each Target store offers two scholarship to students in the community. Students must meet a few requirements before applying for a scholarship. For the Target All-Around Scholarship students must have a 3.0 GPA. Students also have to be enrolled or soon to enroll in a accredited college or university. To apply, students must have their application to UNC-Chapel Hill by Jan. 15, so of course, they must consider going to school there. Students must also submit a scholarship audition request by the aforementioned date. For audition dates, one can audition on campus on Jan.23, Jan 30. and Feb 6. or submit a recorded audition by Feb 1.
Four finalists will be chosen to receive the scholarship. It offers a four year full tuition scholarship. This includes student fees and dorm. It also pays for extra enrichment activities surrounding music and free attendance to see major musical performance, an example being Yo-Yo Ma. Kentucky Fried Chicken is a popular fast food chain that was founded by Colonel Harland David Sanders in 1930. The KFC Foundation was made to grant scholarships to less fortunate high school students. Since the start of the foundation, they have provided $14 million in scholarships to 2600 students. The KFC Foundation is a non-profit organization through the ongoing support of KFC franchises and the KFC Corporation.
REACH, the KFC Educational Grant Program helps current KFC employees and shift supervisors. In order to qualify for a scholarship you must be an hourly team member or shift supervisor at a participating KFC U.S. restaurant; you must be seeking college or trade/vocational school senior, going into college next fall or currently be enrolled in college. -Jacob Brown Meredith College is celebrating their 125 year anniversary by holding a poetry contest. Meredith College is one of the largest independent private women's colleges in the U.S. MC was founded in 1891. Each entry in the contest will recognize Meredith College's history. Everyone is allowed to particular. You're only allowed one entry per person. By entering the contest you are giving Meredith College permission to publish your entry. The poems will be judged blindly. They will be evaluated on content, quality of writing, and theme. The first place overall will win $125 and the first place student entry overall also wins $125.
Each poem must be original and it should not go over 40 lines. The entry deadline is Oct. 12. Entries must be submitted via e-mail to [email protected]. Use the "Meredith College Poetry Contest" as a subject line. Submit name, address, e-mail, and phone on the header of the poem and provide a suggested title. If you are a student, indicate that in your header because students will be judged individually and they're able to win both prizes. The winners will be announced at the Carlyte Campbell Friends of the Library Dinner on Oct. 27. -Jacob Brown Since 1989, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has granted scholarships to more than 5,550 outstanding students. The Coca-Cola system believes that investing in students who lead academically and in service to others will result in positive, lasting change and sustainable communities. The idea behind the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is to give exceptional students the opportunity to realize their full potential to change the world. The program recognizes students for their capacity to lead and serve. Each year, 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected to receive this $20,000 scholarship.
If you're interested in applying, you must submit your initial application through their website. You must be a high school senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The application requires you to list your grades, school, community activities and employment, but no essays or additional materials are required. Applicants may not be children or grandchildren of employees, officers or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, the Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions or subdivisions. -Jacob Brown BMW, known for their luxury high-performance cars and motorcycles, is offering $1500 to students interested in pursuing an engineering degree. Participants must be a U.S. resident, at least 3.75 GPA, and ranked in the 90th percentile in both math and critical reading on SAT or composite ACT scores. The $1500 can be renewed a year for three additional years for up to $6000. A recipient will be chosen by the SAE scholarship committee and will be notified by the end of June. Once chosen, the money will be paid into an account at the selected university of the recipient by July or August. The money can be used for student tution or any other incidental school expenses such accountants books.
Any student interested in the engineering field should seriously consider applying for this scholarship. The money could help for anything from food to books or even pens and pencils. It may not be enough to pay your way through college, but it helps enough to make college less expensive. He is representing Verizon in a challenge to how students explore different fields and allow them to be creative. This will allow students to be better in a growing technological age.
There are several cash prizes for contestants, but the grand prize is $20,000. The prize for the of the state is $5,000. Both winners will receive new tablets for their group. This challenge is for school, clubs, groups, and non-profit groups. It is an awesome grant and a great opportunity.
