Now, researchers working in the Parambikulam Tiger reserve in India have cataloged eight new species of spiders within the reserve. There are some very interesting little guys in the mix, including a very colorful blue-mustachio'd one from the stenaelurillus genus. There's also two who curl up to look like bird poo to avoid predators. One of the spiders even uses web nets to catch prey; a practice common amongdienopis genus. Whether you like spiders or not, these new discoveries have some very interesting new eight legged character to be excited about.

-Shawntel Tulpan The M.A.T.H. bowl was a game, like jeopardy, with students versus faculty that took place Nov. 25 in the auditorium. The student contestants were Ben Luis, Morgan Cockman, Connor Ryan, Chayla Damon and Trent Starr. The faculty contestants were Mrs. McCrimmon, Mr. Painter, Mrs. Remus, Mr. Burgess and Mr. Benello. The students won 1600-700 with each student winning a turkey, some candy, and a t-shirt. Most questions were Algebra 1 and Geometry based made by the math teachers at Overhills High School. The Math bowl is used to earn money for math night, which can be quite expensive. The M.A.T.H. bowl isn't just about math, there was also a dance competition and a Dior performance. It gets better every year, so make sure you get your tickets next year!
-Katelyn Goodell In past years, Black Friday shopping had an average spending of $407.02 per person, with only two shopping days. This year, shopping was extended to three days but the average spending decreased to $380.95 per person. Although this may seem to be somewhat of a problem, it is actually the opposite. This means that fewer people are interested in the sales and would possibly pay full price for items. This also means that the economy is growing stronger, leading to predict a greater percent of national holiday season sales.
