Thursday, Dec. 10, there was an attack at Afghanistan's airport. Exactly 50 people died in the attack. The deaths consisted of 38 civilians, 10 Afghan National Army soldiers and two policemen, another 35 people were wounded. Nine terrorists were also killed and one was wounded. The airport was located in the second-largest city in Afghanistan, Kandahar.
The attack was led by terrorists, the Taliban to be specific. The Taliban gunmen opened fire on the airport around 6:20 p.m. and the Afghan forces returned fire. The assault occurred hours after a "Message to Obama" was posted online warning that U.S. troops would not be safe in Afghanistan.
