Just last week, the Republican party had its third presidential debate. It aired on Oct.29, on CNBC, and lasted for two hours. The candidates competing for a chance at presidency are: gov. John Kasich(OH), former gov. Mike Huckabee(AR), former gov. Jeb Bush(FL), Sen. Marco Rubio(FL), Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, sen. Ted Cruz(TX), gov. Chris Christie(NJ) and sen Rand Paul(IO).
There were many things that went down during the debate including when Kasich suggested that both Carson and Trump lack the experience to be president. In the debate, the republicans challenged the CNBC commentators' questions, and said the questions were attempts to embarrass them or create controversy. Cruz said, "The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don't trust the media." Paul complained the moderators weren't giving him enough time to talk. Errol Louis, journalist and tv show host said "I personally found the CNBC disaster painful to watch. Many say they did a bad job hosting the debate. CNBC failed to established a controlled tone to the discussion and the constant interruption of candidates trying to respond to questions or interject a thought or a rebuttal." Rubio, senator of Florida, was pushed about the large numbers of senate votes he missed since his presidential campaign and his personal debt problems, but refused to respond. The debate was mainly focused on the economic problems in America. All candidate promised lower taxes and higher growth. The next Republican debate will be sometime in November, hosted by Fox Business Network and the Wall Street Journal, and might be held in Wisconsin.
