BMW, known for their luxury high-performance cars and motorcycles, is offering $1500 to students interested in pursuing an engineering degree. Participants must be a U.S. resident, at least 3.75 GPA, and ranked in the 90th percentile in both math and critical reading on SAT or composite ACT scores. The $1500 can be renewed a year for three additional years for up to $6000. A recipient will be chosen by the SAE scholarship committee and will be notified by the end of June. Once chosen, the money will be paid into an account at the selected university of the recipient by July or August. The money can be used for student tution or any other incidental school expenses such accountants books.
Any student interested in the engineering field should seriously consider applying for this scholarship. The money could help for anything from food to books or even pens and pencils. It may not be enough to pay your way through college, but it helps enough to make college less expensive. Any student interested can find more information at the Overhills high school website.
