On May 19, Overhills High School hosted their Winter and Spring athletic banquet. It was an evening of celebration as awards were handed out to each sports team. Overhills recognized all of the Winter and Spring season sports including swimming, track, basketball, cheerleading, softball, baseball, boys' tennis, girls' soccer, boys' golf and wrestling.
The night started off with the athletes and their families gathering in the cafeteria to eat, then moved into the auditorium to wait for the awards. All sports coaches handed out a Certificate of Participation to each member of their team and three special awards including the MVP award, the Coaches' award and the Most Improved award. All varsity athletes received their varsity letters and pins for their participation on a varsity team. Seniors going to college on athletic scholarships, including Steven Miller, Quincy Ridley and Jordan Forbess were also recognized for their hard work.
Overhills is proud of the success of all of the teams this season. Way to go Jags!
