During the next few weeks, the National Technical Honors Society will be raising money for the Lymphatic and Lymphoma Society fundraiser. For the next three weeks, the NTHS members will be dropping off boxes in classrooms to raise money for the society. The fourth period that has the most money in its box will when an Olive Garden takeout party that will take place in their third and fourth periods at the end of the fundraiser. Last year's winner was Ms. Richie's class who raised $170.68. The overall fundraiser raised over $1800.
Summer Rehm, one of the NTHS members says there will be other things to raise money. Rehm says there will be candy jars set in the commons area during lunches filled with goods like Skittles or Reeses Pieces. Students can pay a price to take a guess at how many items are in the jar and whoever's guess is closest to the number of candy can claim their prize and take the jar home. Other ideas include a baby photo contest and donations. Rehm says that they hope to raise $2500 this year and help people who are fighting the struggles of lymphatic diseases.
