After the disappearance of Flight 370, there were a lot of theories being thrown around, but the lack of evidence made it impossible to do anything but speculate. The main theories included a meteor hitting the plane, being abducted by aliens, an enemy attack and even landing on a remote island. Obviously, since these are only theories with no evidence, they cannot be proven, nor disproven. A new theory has been recently added to the list as a most probable occurrence. It is believed that the disappearance was not an accident. It is possible that the pilot, co-pilot or some other qualified individual could have taken control of the plane, with or without help, and then turned off as much electronics as possible in the signal-weakened area, which gave the hijacked plane the illusion of disappearing without a trace. The plane could have then been taken to a secure location. It would have also been possible that the pilots could have been under duress and forced to commit actions that led to the destruction of the plane, like trying to fly somewhere without enough fuel, leading to an emergency landing gone wrong.
