Key Club is the oldest and largest community service organization for students nationwide. The organization was created in California at Sacramento High School in 1925. Originally it was just for men, but as the years progressed females were allowed to join. The values of Key Club are leadership, character building and community service. The objective of Key club is to make the school and community a better place.
The Key Club president at Overhills High School is Jasmine Spears. Spears said she is "excited for Key Club and ready for a turned up year." An upcoming event of Key Club is the fall rally where all members of Key Club in the Carolinas go to Carowinds for a day filled with fun and comradery. This year our Key Club will be participating in Unicef, Boys and Girls Home, Carolina Lakes Club House and March of Dimes. So make sure to come out and join your Overhills Key Club.
