The Indiana primary happened for both Republicans and Democrats Tuesday, May 3. On the republican side, there's businessman Donald Trump, Texas senator, Ted Cruz and Ohio governor, John Kasich. On the democratic side, there's former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Vermont senator, Bernie Sanders. The front-runners on both sides are Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
In the primary, Trump won 53.3 percent of votes, while Cruz won 36.7 percent and Kasich 7.5 percent. Shortly after the primary, Cruz drops out of the race, and a day later, so did Kasich. "It has been some unbelievable day and evening and year," Trump said about winning the primary."Never been through anything like this,". On the democratic side, Sanders won with 52.7 percent of votes and Clinton won 47.3 percent. Clinton still leads in Democratic nomination. However, theatlantic.com said "Sanders just got the victory he desperately needed," The next primaries will be held in Nebraska and West Virginia.
