JP and Paul Norden were victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Both brothers suffered severe injuries, including each needing to have his right leg amputated. Since then, both have recovered and attained inspiration from all of the support the received. This prompted their mother, Liz Norden, to start the charitable organization A Leg Forever. While the brothers had been recovering, they met Tommy Cox at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Cox is a twelve-year-old boy who had to have his leg amputated after a severe boating accident. While in the hospital, they bonded and the brothers could think of no better candidate to support with their charity. They decided to host a charity golf tournament to raise money for a new prosthetic leg for Cox. It was a huge success, and now Cox is able to walk again and go to school.
