The weather is getting colder and the sneezes are coming out. Are you experiencing fever, muscle aches, chills, coughs, congestion, runny nose, headaches or fatigue? You may just have the flu this year. Flu season is from December to February, but can start as early as October.
One way to avoid the flu or getting it passed on to you is to get vaccinated annually. The shot is available for anyone six months or older. In fact the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends the age range and for people to pick between an attenuated or an inactivated vaccine. On the last week of January about 14,000 people were recorded of having the flu. Hopefully this year will be a lot lower. Be safe Overhills!
