Victor Murray, an 18-year-old from Fayetteville, recently attended his prom despite being confined to a wheelchair. The senior and former wrestler from Cape Fear High School was confined after medical complication during a brain stem surgery left him unable to talk and see. The senior decided that even with his set backs, he would still attend his prom.
He asked Rachel Brittan, who was a senior at the same school, and she agreed, saying it would be an honor to be escorted by Victor. "He got surrounded immediately by a lot of good friends. They had a great time," said Jay Hottel, Victor's adoptive dad.
