More than 400 miles from Cairo in the city of Luxor lies a newly discovered tomb. The tomb holds 3000 year old art and sates all the way back to Egypt's 18th dynasty, which reigned from 1543 to 1292 BC. Washington Post said, Many of the scenes represent the tomb owner and his wife in front of an offering table and a view of a goddess nursing a royal child as well as scenes of the daily life." King Tutankhamun - Tut - ruled this dynasty and is one of the most famous kings in history. Egyptians in this time period honored the god of all gods. Amun was the one who ruled over Zeus, Odin, Big Kahuna, Jupiter and many others. But this tomb was dedicated to Amenhotep, the nobleman and guardian of Amun. The colors of the tomb were in bright greens and browns. Though there were beautiful sections of art, names, and hieroglyphics, scenes of gods and Amun were erased. Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities and the American Research Centre of Egypt (ARCE) are still deciding what to do with the artifacts.
