It’s finally here! One of summer’s highly anticipated shows, “Fear The Walking Dead” premiered Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. Fear The Walking Dead is a spinoff from the popular show “The Walking Dead”. It’s set in California, before the zombie apocalypse. The show centers on a blended family that have less experience on the zombie apocalypse world than TWD’s characters. Unlike the series premiere of The Walking Dead, which generated under 5 million viewers, Fear The Walking Dead had about 10.1 million viewers on its opening night. Also, unlike the show’s counterpart, Fear The Walking Dead is not based off comics, but still was created by Robert Kirkman. Since the show is set early on in the apocalypse, the outbreak and the zombies are still new and their makeup was nicely done the show fresh. There were some points throughout the show that created some suspense for the viewers. However, there was a few scenes in where the acting wasn’t at its strongest. Overall Fear The Walking Dead is off to a promising start and will premiere six episodes on Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
