Jourdan and Ryan Spencer were watching one of Jourdan's childhood videos of her family's 1988 trip to Sesame Place in Longhorne, Pennslyvania, when Ryan jokingly said "Wow, the looks like me" and sure enough, it was." In the video, Jourdan's mom and sister were seen waiting for Jourdan, 10-years-old at the time, to return from a water slide when 13-year-old Ryan walks into the frame. Jourdan and Ryan also grew up 45 minutes away from each other in New Jersey and met on a blind date April 2004. They were then married in 2007. " I do really believe that poeple come into our lives, and every person we meet has a purpose," Jourdan said " And we were definitely supposed to meet."

No one likes being sick, so why are so many Japanese woman walking around with red rimmed-eyes? These woman are wearing a trend known as "Me no shita chiiku," Which means "under-eye blush" most colors are very bright and are painted exaggeratedly high on the cheekbones and just like the name suggests, directly underneath the eyes. This "fad" is the idea of making yourself look unwell on purpose, becoming anime character of sorts. This also gives you a younger look, rather than older, like our intent here in America. This trend or fab, will soon fade out but for now Japan intends to keep this "trend" for a bit.
-Chloe Cunningham There are many different types of piercings. Over the past few years, piercings have been popularized and no longer as taboo as they once were. Although there are hundreds of different place to pierce your body, these are some of the most popular for your ear area specifically.
Firstly, there is the helix piercing. This is pierced in the upper cartilage area. Studs or hoops are typically used for this. Also, there is the scaffold piercing. More popularly known as an industrial, this is actually a collection of two piercings on your ear that are aligned so you can put a bar through them. Moreover, there is the rook piercing. It is done at the ear's anti-helix and is considered to be one of the most painful piercings since it passes through many layers of cartilage. This piercing is not recommended for people new to piercings. Before you get a piercing, remember that is costs money for the jewelry plus the service. If you are under 18 you will need a parent present during the procedure. Piercings require daily cleanings during the healing process, sometimes more than one cleaning per day. If you don't take care of the puncture it can lead to serious infections. It is also recommended to be at least 16 to get a piercing so you're committed, responsible, aware and also your body is done growing. Avoid getting pierced with a piercing gun as it causes trauma to the affected area, heightens chances of infections, heightens chances of scar tissue and heightens the chances of deformities during healing. - Isabel Hernandez Sunday, March 8, Emma Watson took the stage at the Facebook Headquarters in London and gave a speech about gender equality as part of International Women's Day. Watson thinks that International Women's Day isn't just about women, it's about equality of both genders and that men could be affected too. Watson says "I get disturbed by the idea that men can't cry, they can't express themselves and that's the saddest thing in the world. Being able to express yourself is what makes you human-it's not what makes you a girl." Internet trolls threatened to release naked photos of the actress following her UN speech, but she said it would only make her more determined for the HeForShe campaign. Almost 230,000 men and boys joined her campaign, including president Barack Obama and actors Joseph Gordan-Levitt and Matt Damon. GO to HeForShe.org to join the movement for gender equality.
-Katelyn Goodell Binaural beats are an odd subject that many have never heard of, even though they have been around since the first discovery in 1839. The beats are formed by sending signals of two different frequencies, one to each ear. The brain detects the phase variation between the frequencies and tries to reconcile the difference. By attempting to reconcile, the brain meshes in and out of phase, allowing a third signal to be formed. This signal, is a binaural beat, which is equal to the difference in the outer signals. Depending on the middle frequency, the brain can be put into different states of mind in order to relax, boost energy or sleep.
-Joshua Bowen Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling tracked down his daughter's cyberbullies after multiple vulgar tweets were spread about her. Schilling tweeted,"Congrats to Gabby Schilling who will pitch for the Salve Regina Seahawks next year!!" resulting in many tweets referencing Gabby Schilling, with derogatory terms. Many tweets commented how people couldn't wait to date her, some even discussing rape. Schilling and his daughter didn't stand for it, though, they stood up to the bullies and showed them that things like that can't be said without consequences. Some of the offenders were fired or even suspended from school until harsher consequences are determined.
-Jamie Huymaier Philanthropist Paul Allen and his team discovered of of the two largest battleships in the world. Musashi, a Japanese World War two battleship, sank in Oct. 1944 when it was hit by tornadoes and bombs dropped by allied aircraft carriers. The ship sank in the Sibuyan sea during the battle of Leyte Gulf, losing half of it's 2400 crew members. The team discovered the ship's bow, a large gun turret and one of the two of the ship's 15 ton anchors! They also discovered Musashi's catapult system that was used to launch planes and a valve wheel with Japanese letters that say, "main valve handle." This ship is more than 70 years old and took Allen's crew eight years to find it. It's a discovery that will go down in history and help us know more about that time.
-Kelly Wolvington A rare sea creature described as an "alien of the deep" has been found off the coast of Australia was delivered to the local museum. The prehistoric looking Goblin shark lived on the deep sea bottoms. The shark sadly died by the time it was given to the local aquarium. So far, only four goblin sharks have been acquired by the Sydney museum. The first two were collected in the 1980's. The latest was picked up by a fisherman in January. He kept in excellent condition for the museum. Scientists at the said museum are utterly thrilled to study this strange specimen.
-Chloe Cunningham Sitting on a bed with a few dozen needles sticking into you may not sound like an enjoying afternoon, but it is much more pleasant than one might believe. Acupuncture is a traditional component of Chinese medicine, involving the insertion of small needles in various strategic points on the body. Traditionally, these points were believed to help balance qi, which is believed to flow through pathways in your body. Modern Western practitioners view acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles, and connective tissues. This is believed to boost natural painkillers and increase blood flow. Many different conditions and diseases can be helped by acupuncture. This include dental pain, Fibromyalgia, headaches, labor pains, lower back pain, and menstrual cramps. There are a few risks with acupuncture, which include soreness, organ injury and possibly infections, but with a properly trained acupuncturist it should be a pleasant experience.
